This gorgeous statement necklace made me so envious for anyone who could have it! I had to research more options that I could add to my collection too. I'm envisioning a necklace like this with an all black outfit and bright lip. Do you like a statement piece like this or prefer something a little more subtle? Xo,
Carly

Dear friends, Today it is snowing, hard. I want to take the opportunity of a slower day where the phones aren't ringing like crazy and the emails are not flooding in to write a few handwritten notes. I'm sure you all have a friend from college who you may have not spoken to in a bit or a relative that lives far away that you just want to say hi to! If you can, find a reason today to sit down and write something by hand. Nothing is more beautiful than a handwritten note and when you have beautiful stationary to write said note on, it's even that much better! Now get to writing!
Sincerely Yours,
Carly Last night was the 56th Grammy Awards and in my opinion the fashion wasn't mind-blowing. I always feel like this awards show, which is based on beautiful amazing music being created between all these different artists, should be daring in the fashion world. That isn't to say though that I didn't like any of the outfits I saw; because I certainly did! Before I get into the ones I loved; let's just have another look at this park ranger here :-) Pharrell Williams brought his Smokey the Bear look and did it well! Now for my ladies that dressed beautiful! Kelly Osbourne is one of my favorite people out there! I love watching her on E! and her dad, who we all know, was too cute on the red carpet. I'm torn on this dress because I wish it was a bit more fitted or something accentuated her amazing waist line. Regardless; she worked her dad's cross necklace into it and this photo doesn't show it - but it's hanging down her back. I love a sentimental piece on anyone. I had to call it a tie because these dresses are so perfect for the Grammys and these lovely ladies. Taylor Swift looks so statuesque in this Gucci gown. And Guiliana is sleek and stunning in this Alex Perry gown. Who do you think won??
Xo, Carly I'm the type of person who starts a work out and then craves a whole pizza immediately after (and then I usually get a whole pizza after the workout!) But I have to give myself some credit because for the last two weeks - very long time for me - I have stayed at it! I have been going to the gym everyday and really staying focused. Now with Valentine's Day around the corner I thought it would be a great idea to get in the spirit to gain motivation and look cute. The items below are some of my new faves, enjoy! These tanks are so awesome for working out in because they are cheap so you don't feel so bad for sweating in them. But then they are cute enough to run and grab a smoothie after, you never know who you could bump into! Xo,
Carly Yesterday while at work (in an office with no windows) it started to flurry. Which then turned into a blizzard. And as stressful as snow can be I can't let it bog me down; I live in New England. As I sat the day away typing ferociously and answering emails I finally stepped outside to grab a coffee. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the snow - snow in the city is beautiful. However, I then thought I did not dress appropriately for this weather! Below are some of the pieces I wish I had and will certainly be looking into this week. What are your favorites? Xo, Carly |
